I know that it might seem overkill to have a privacy statement for what will be a private family
blog.
However, one of the main reason for doing a family blog is my 'unhappiness' with how social media
companies use the words and photo we post. It would therefore have seemed somewhat hypocritical of me
not to provide a privacy statement.
I must also add that as I'm storing PII (Personally Identifiable Information) I am legally bound to
inform you, under the sometimes maligned but in fact essential GDPR legislation about how the data will
be used etc
Needless to say I'm storing your email address and family name. These will be stored in a database
within a virtual computer that I only have access to. I will not give the information to anyone outside
my immediate family. The website uses the https protocol so all data entered is transmitted over the internet securely
When the website is complete and proper content is added this statement might be updated
